A standard urine test is preformed to check for the presence of substances such as protein, ketones, blood, sugar, and nitrates in the urine to evaluate overall kidney function and for the presence of infection.

Food Sensitivity Testing (Blood Spot/Blood Draw)

Food Sensitivity Testing uses a simple blood spot or blood draw test to identify possible immune reactions to common foods. Common symptoms of food sensitivities include but are not limited to cramping, bloating, constipation/diarrhea, fatigue, frequent colds/flus, sinus congestion, acne, eczema, psoriasis, muscle aches, joint pain and weight gain or difficult weight loss. This is one of the most common and effective tests I use in my practice. Please contact us for more information about this service.

Environmental Skin Prick Testing

Environmental allergies can be quite debilitating especially at certain times of the year. Identifying your specific allergy be it grass, trees, weeds, cats or dust can help direct treatment to manage your body's reaction to these common triggers. This in-office scratch test involves lightly pricking your skin with a solution containing each of the common allergy triggers. How your skin responds can identify your allergic triggers. Please contact us for more information about this service.

Hair Analysis (Nutrient and Heavy Metal screening)

The Hair Analysis test involves taking a small amount of hair from the back of the head and screens the sample for levels of nutrients as well as levels of heavy metals accumulated in your hair. This can give information regarding nutrition status as well as chemical exposure. This test is not meant to be used as a stand alone assessment but can help when compared with a screening physical exam.

Comprehensive Stool Analysis

This test involves screening a small sample of stool for levels of harmful bacteria and/or parasites. As well this test is used to assess how well the body is digesting and absorbing carbohydrates, protein and fat and can show levels of healthy, beneficial digestive flora.

Salivary Hormone Analysis

Salivary hormone testing is a convenient and non-invasive way of assessing hormone levels in the body. Because of the rapid diffusion of hormones into the saliva ducts, saliva hormone levels are not altered significantly with the flow of saliva, and better represent the tissue levels of free hormones. Saliva provides a convenient diagnostic fluid from which to monitor the bioavailable fraction of hormones circulating in the bloodstream and entering the tissues. Please call us for more information about this service.

Adrenal Stress Index

Adrenal Stress index measures levels of cortisol throughout the day to properly assess the health and status of the adrenal gland. Levels of cortisol should be higher in the morning and slowly lower as the day progresses. Abnormal levels can indicate problems with stress management, inflammation, energy and sleep disturbances. Individual analysis can help better dictate treatment options.

Heavy Metal Urine Analysis

Heavy metal analysis is often an essential service for evaluation of chronic disease states and prevention of chronic disease. Heavy metal toxicity has been associated with all types of degenerative disease including chronic fatigue; depression; poor memory and cognitive dysfunction; emotional instability; peripheral numbness or tingling; decreased senses of touch, hearing or vision; hypersensitivity and allergies; persistent infections including chronic yeast overgrowth; compromised immune function; cardiovascular disease fatigue; loss of appetite; headaches; poor memory; inability to concentrate and ADD/ADHD. All urine testing is sent for analysis by Doctors Data Inc.
