Registered Massage
Therapy

Massage therapy is a system of pressing, stroking, and kneading different areas of the body to relieve pain, relax, stimulate, and tone the body. Massage does much more than create a pleasant sensation on the skin, it also works on the soft tissues (the muscles, tendons, and ligaments) to improve muscle tone. Although it largely affects those muscles just under the skin, its benefits may also reach the deeper layers of muscle and possibly even the organs themselves. Massage also stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system, improving the elimination of toxins throughout the body.

Treating with Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used medical procedures in the world. Traditional Chinese Medicine theorizes that the more than 2000 acupuncture points on the human body connect with 12 main and 8 secondary pathways called meridians. Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners believe these acupuncture meridians conduct energy, or Qi (pronounced "chee") between the surface of the body and internal organs. Acupuncture promotes the natural flow of Qi and balances yin and yang to keep the normal flow of energy unblocked and restore health to the body and mind.

Reflexology

Reflexology

In your reflexology session the Reflexologist works on reflexes of the feet that are interconnected to all our organs, glands and body parts.  By applying pressure to these reflexes, we encourage a relaxed state of the body, an increase in circulation, decrease in tension, and we increase the body's ability's to function optimally.   The feet are the foundation and the roots of our bodies, and they hold so much more information that we may realize.  We all know that when our feet are happy, it can be like a ripple effect up to other areas (i.e. happy knees, happy hips).  They map our whole body!  They shed insight on our body systems and highlight areas that need extra attention.
